Orbit Check
⚔️ Chess... But you don't have to wait.
Orbit Check isn't about thinking 10 moves ahead. It's about spinning swords, exploding enemies, and surviving the chaos.
You start as a simple Pawn. Your mission? Survive long enough to get promoted. Defeat enemy hordes, level up, and transform into the most powerful pieces on the board, culminating in the devastating power of the King.
🔥 Why play?
- Hardcore Survivor: No "gold farming" to get strong between runs. Here, only your skill matters. Die? Start from scratch.
- Evolution System: Feel the weight of promotion. From Pawn to Knight, Bishop, Rook, Queen, and King. Each form brings new powers.
- Elemental Cycles: Your weapons aren't just iron. Master cycles of Fire (Burn), Ice (Slow), Nature (Poison), Divine (Instant Kill), and Shadow (Curse).
- Play Anywhere: Optimized for Browser and Mobile. Works seamlessly with Mouse or Touch.
🎮 Controls
The game was designed to be played with just one hand (or one finger).
- Mouse / Touch: Moves the character and interacts with menus.
- Double Click: Performs a Dash (Quick dodge).
- Attack: Automatic (Your weapons orbit and protect you).
🛠️ About Development
This game was created from scratch using the Godot Engine. The art is Pixel Art, focused on a medieval fantasy aesthetic, using some assets from https://backterria.itch.io/the-mystery. The goal was to create a "pick-up-and-play" experience: easy to start, hard to put down.
